how realistic do they want the renders to be?
Maybe you can get away with it by leaning more on the design/ abstract side than a realistic render (which is almost impossible for a 1st try really).You could use a clay render type, so no transparency, no material, no texture etc... :
Then use models from source like turbosquid like mentionned earlier, and voila?You could even use it to highlight some part of what they want to implement.
