Do you ever set up a print file for a professional printer using RGB?
Do you ever use RBG or CMYK instead of Pantone when printing a file?
- Easiest answer. Ask your printer.pango

- a) no, colours will go to cock and printer will know you're an idiot
b) cmyk yes, but some colours will be less intense than pantonehans_glib - unless you're printing hexachrome in which case rgb is finehans_glib
- On demand printers deal with this all the time. RGB files uploaded then CMYK ripped. Purple blues, green blacks. Oh so much fun.imbecile
- A good printer can rip to CMYK from RGB for good results. Personally I HATE prepping CMYK images on my computer.monospaced
- Fuck CMYK********
- Fuck print, frankly. Fucking hate it.********
- Pantone can't do gradients or transparencies or other layering effects, so yeah CMYK is pretty common in printing...i_monk
- Pantone's just a single ink - as C, M, Y or K are individually - all of those can be halftoned into oblivion = gradient.detritus
