Despite what since1979 may assume, I am a fairly clean human being, chaotic and scrappy, but generally quite clean.
Except my tea cup.
Since I realised in my first job that the way to guarantee no one ever stole my mug was to never wash it, I never did. Well, once a month or so. Maybe.
I've worked pretty much alone for over a decade now (*sob) and yet still don't really wash my cup.
I won't show a photo of it, but it literally has a 0.5mm thick dark brown scale around the inside. I try and hide it when clients come over to the desk.
I drink very (very) strong tea, with just a dash of milk, so it's mostly safe and non-lethal, or perhaps I've just built up immunity to whatever nastiness might've evolved in there.
It's a kukuxumusu mug a basque friend gave me years ago. Or was, at least.
