Bought a Riso RP3105 two months ago.
Finally had the time to try to set it up...Have been for two long days trying to figure out how...
For the Printer I set up my old MacBook 2007 with Mac OS X 10.7.5 in which I installed first an Emulator with Mac OS 9...
Cause that's the last Mac OS compatible with the Software and Drivers
No sucess and that System...Stone Age...
Then I installed Virtual Box and now have Windows XP for the first time since over 14 years.
Windows XP is the last Windows OS supported and because I want to print PDF's I thought well that's okay.
I extracted the Riso Software for Windows XP via Command Line mounting a .win image.
The driver was sucessfully installed.
But it doesn't print. The Riso recognizes a connection (LPT to USB) and goes on Data- Mode and says that's ready to receive Data but then turns to Idle.
When I try to install the Riso Software (RISO RINC 3) I receive a notification that I can't install 16-Bit Software on Windows XP.
Now I'm trying to figure out how to go around that.
I will try to use it via CUPS as well but damn! It's the third day and I've been reading in Forums and going on Command Line in 3 systems...
Does anyone knows how to do this or has any experience here?
Anyone printing with Riso?
