My biggest fear about Trump is coming true, in that his derailment of the process of American discourse will be beneficial to the rich. At this point it seems everyone is so obsessed over HIM, and everything HE does, as opposed to what he represents, that this atrocious tax bill - an aggressive, obvious act of class war he is famous for in his development history - will actually become law.
It's disturbing how much goes on relating to him and Putin / Russian collusion, as if Russia itself - and not the primary controlling financial interests - was acting in some call back to the Cold War.
Trump will be hailed as a king by the wealthy soon enough, as the tax bill opens the door to gut / privatize social security, as well as keep the middle and lower class in an increasing state of disarray.
(Note how most of the taxes on those making a median income will only increase after he is likely replaced by a democrat in office, so then when people are in an uproar, they'll blame whatever member of the party is currently holding the white house.)
It's crazy how much procedure is involved in the public discourse of political debate and how he's been able to completely supplant that with 24/7 TMZ-like obsessions, leaving Americans in general exposed to some wildly aggressive reforms, finishing off what Reagan started and likely to only make everything more difficult for generations to come.
- You're right, and I hoped it was more obvious to everyone. I think now that the bill is moving forward, you'll see a lot less loyalty toward him though.monospaced
- He's not their king. He's their puppet. He will be remembered as a moronic dotard, but one that enabled them and their policy. The definition of swampy.monospaced

- @mono, he's totally a puppet, but they'll toast to him to keep him on the strings, esp after a move like thiscolin_s

- @mono. You're probably right. If he makes a move against Mueller after the tax bill passes, they just might impeach his ass.CyBrainX
- He's done a lot to ruin their party. You don't think Ryan wants Trump out as much as anyone? He hates the fool.monospaced
- If the GOP can stomach this arsehole enough to enact some of the worst tax legislation in decades, I fear for the worst. They really are despicable.monoboy
- They've been wanting to do this long before trump was a candidate. He's their enabler. Only someone that fucking dumb could allow this.monospaced
- Surprising part was that so many American voters were so fucking bigoted and goddamn insanely stupid. A shame and they were all duped.monospaced
