I'll get myself a camera for Christmas. I want a compact one to take with me when I go on hiking & motorcycle trips and for daily use, scenery/architecture and people. Only pictures, not interested in video.
What's your opinion on the gear I selected?
Sony A6000 body
Sony SEL1018 Wide Lens (10-18mm, F4)
Samyang 50/1,4 (50mm, F1,4)
- The a6000 is a great camera for the money. I got one earlier in the year. The 16-50 compact zoom it comes with makes it a truly pocketable camera.microkorg
- I have a Tamron 18-200mm eith E-mount that I've had since my Sony Nex5n.microkorg
- Also have the Sony 16mm Pancake and the Sony Fisheye Addition.microkorg

- The ONE thing that annoys me about the a6000 is that theres no touchscreen. Even the Nex5n had a touchscreen for selecting focus.microkorg
- I guess with the likes of our phone cameras we just expect touch focus on cameras these daysmicrokorg
