We're into a little history, a little architecture, a lot of food and culture.

Right now we'll probably rail to cover more ground quicker, but not opposed to driving.

I'll look into Bologna and Urbino/Marche. Cinque Terre looks great but not sure it'll be worth the trek in November?

    • We also went to Cinque Terre. Stayed outside of Levanto. Pretty great exploring around Cinque Terre but not actually dealing with all the people.wordssssss
    • I've bee really impressed with Italian rail. Bologna great for history, old architecture and food :) I did a day (lol) in Milan - very impressive..detritus
    • ..but beware the posh shopping quarter if you're GF is a spender! Most pics I took in Milan were of retail displays, which they do REALLY welldetritus
    • (was looking for ideas to steal. I don't get off on commercial retail stuff.;)detritus
    • We'll definitely try to do Cinque and Bologna sounds great. Sounds like the wife will definitely like Milan so may have to plan for that too.CincodeMayo
