What's your bag - architecture, history, food, contemporary culture, sun-bathing (not so much in November!)?

Will you be driving, railing or..?

Personally, I love Bologna and the small hill-top towns like Urbino in Marche region. Bologna's possibly a good-ish hub as it's fairly 'central' with good rail connections to Milan and Turin up North and the adriatic coast and Rome to the South.

I've not been as far South as Rome yet, and am possibly* heading to Napoli next week, which could be 'fun'.

    .

    * unless my partner and I argue so much that we split up over it, which appears to be the general direction (she's there now, expecting me to drop everything and go tomorrow for three nights, which is a little.. well, inconvenient to me right now. ho hum).

    • I agree with the Marche, we spent three weeks near Fano (on the Adriatic) this past June and loved every minute.wordssssss
    • Mrs Detritus sounds a bit volatile!Continuity
