I don't mean to cast disparagement against the victims here, but the other day I posted an excerpt of the code of conduct regarding the flag ( http://www.qbn.com/reply/3867642… )
I remember this part... the very first statement...
"No disrespect should be shown to the flag of the United States of America; the flag should not be dipped to any person or thing. Regimental colors, State flags, and organization or institutional flags are to be dipped as a mark of honor."
after reading this...
"In moments of tragedy and horror, America comes together as one," Trump said. He added, "In memory of the fallen, I have directed that our great flag be flown at half staff."
what about the respect?
what about the code?fuck you trump
- Isn't a half mast typical in times of mourning?detritus
- I thought the half-staff thing was for when people diedGnash
- I don't understand.********
- eh i think this is kind of stretching. It doesnt take much search to figure out this happens a lot despite being a "seldom-used" gesture.dorkKn1ght
- by all means respect the dead, make exceptions, but trump is complaining that people kneel and there's nothing against it. he's just a dickimbecile
- that was my snide point. he's making something of nothing when obviously the code of conduct is irrelevant to him, fabricated talking points :(imbecile
- ah! now i see it, thanks!********
