- if your house is wooden, you'll need total protection. My partner's folks live in a floodzone and have had gate slides added to all their doors.. but, brickworkdetritus
- Yes, it's brick. My part of Austin does have the potential to flood in a bad storm. Wasn't expecting Houston levels but wanted to reduce any water getting in.GM278

- I can't recall what they're called, but her folks have these slides bolted to the sides of all external doors, into which they slip thick metal sheets ...detritus
