    Huh? I see little wrong with it.

    What I do think is wrong is people turning art directors and creative directors in less than 10 years.

    Even more wrong than employers asking for it.
    Employers at least have the excuse of being uninformed.

    Art direction is not extra senior designer. It's a different game. Or at least it is suppose to be.
    Work a few as junior designer, a few as a designer, a few as senior designer, then start seeing if art directing is for you. Without the experience from every aspect of design, who and what would you direct or mentor? People with even less experience?

    • Right. But one has to actually work as a designer in order to direct design and designers. The other way around doesn't work. Should not work.Peter
