    Why we don't give a fuck...

    Each year that passes takes up collectively less time than the year before.

    Example:
    Born to 1 year old = 100% of our life.
    1 to 2 = 50% of our collective life.

    So the year we turn 19 to 20 is only 5% of our life so far.
    39 to 40 being 2.5% of our collective life.

    Just one month of that 40th year is .21% of our collective life. (1/12th of 2.5%) Essentially a blip.

    With most of that blip being boring menial everyday tasks that we continually repeat, it's no wonder our capacity to give a fuck diminishes.
