i think it would be great to see more american film, and in this case just more emerging filmmakers, explore and deal with the subtleties of the human spirit, human neurosis, - just the fumbling introspection that we all go through - self actualization -
i think a humanization of film in general would be great - seems like so many people enjoy film as a fantastical escape, but it seems that this is so because this allows them to self-medicate in a way
why not challenge the filmgoer more with themes that make us feel more comfortable with the anxieties and struggles and coming of age trials we all go through
but not in that really over the top voyeuristic kind of way that is suffocating our current tv and film aesthetics...........
