on the visa issue, if you are travelling around europe, will you have to apply for a visa for each country you go to?

have the EU clarified the free-movement arrangement for british people living around europe?

    • I'd be fairly surprised if much changes from how things are now, to be honest. That said, I'd take "How a Swiss or Norwegian is treated" as the template.detritus

    • nothing clarified yet but my guess is that most EU countries could do without the hassle of distributing, collecting and deciphering landing cardsFax_Benson

    • Schengen visa applies to all eu countries.

    • Norway and Switzerland are members of the EEA (i.e. allow free movement). I thought brexit meant pulling out of that too?lowimpakt
    • Sure, but I imagine whatever concession we do end up with will allow for free travel. Perhaps not free right to work, per se. Fuck knows. If not, I'm a leaving.detritus
    • No one knows, we're sailing into uncharted waters without a compass or map. Exciting isn't it. Hemingway would love it.fruitsalad
    • there will be some form of extra hassle at customs - of course there will be but I will be surprised it will jeopardise Europe's precious tourist influx.fadein11
    • Thing is, we already DO have customs checks, so I don't really see what the change will be. I don't foresee a Visa requirement. I may well be very wrong.detritus
    • There is usually a fast track for EU citizens in EU countries no? That's from my experience. Non-EU citizens will go through the same painful process (as theyfadein11
    • should) - don't expect a special sign for ex-EU Brits.fadein11
    • Imagine being dark-skinned now going on holiday in Europe. How can you not see there won't be a difference?fadein11
    • it's a massive part of the negotiations. EU would probably prefer us not to keep customs arrangements on goods, passporting of financial services and citizenFax_Benson
    • status at borders / ports - but it's such a ball-ache for everyone to reorganize that it'll likely remain pretty much as is.Fax_Benson
    • Brits will be non-EU, non-schengen, we'll have to join the queues with the rest of the non-EU travellersRanger
    • i reckon on intracontinental flights at least, we'll still be included in the current two-tier schema. Perhaps when we're coming in from outside of the EU, not.detritus
    • I mean, we're brits and none Schengen now.detritus
