    Buddahat made a good resume.

I've been reading a lot lately about cameras and particularly about compact cameras.

I'm looking for the lightest possible camera that offers the best image quality.

The lightest cameras have 1" sensor, wich is small, but the technology has evolved and the image quality is surprisingly good.

The top compact cameras out there are the Canon G7X Mark II (319g), the Sony Cyber-shot DSC-RX100 V (299g) and the Panasonic LX10/LX100/DMC-ZS100/TZ100

But, if you want a bigger sensor, an APS-C sensor (the biggest sensors before full frame) The lightest camera would be the Fujifilm X70 (340g)

Personally my choice is almost made, and i may go with the Fujifilm X-T20 wich is the smaller version of the X-T2 (507g without lense). The X-T20 with a 27mm lense weight 461g for an APS-C sensor.

    • I read too many reviews to count, but a large number said that despite its shortcomings, the X70 was always at the top in image quality.BuddhaHat
    • So it makes sense that the X-T20 is the next step up. X-Trans CMOS III and good 4k video quality from what I've read as well. It's just not so compact anymore..BuddhaHat
    • yeah the X-T20 is in between compact and large sensor compactBennn
    • its the best of both world i think. 461g is not very heavy and fits in a jacket pocket.Bennn
    • My X-T1 with the 27mm lense weight 518g, i would save 58g with the X-T20 and the body is smaller. Check this out: http://camerasize.co…Bennn
    • It's between 10 & 20% bigger on each of those metrics, that's not so bad considering what you get. And you already have X-lenses, which is a bonus.BuddhaHat
    • exactly, i have the superb 18-55mm Fujinon (great lense) and a fisheye i would be able to use. And i really love the 27mmBennn
