    Dudes! I'm also going to be in Santa Barbara for a couple days between Christmas and New Years.

    Been there many times, but never with a kid before. Any special recommendations good for active, energetic 2-year-old boys?

    I'm thinking:

    Let him run around down at the boardwalk by the pier and the skatepark. (And make his mom watch him while his dad cruises a few laps through.)

    Take him to the mission where he can explore the big courtyard there.

    Any good public parks I should check out?
