My apartment's balcony was recently painted. The only access to paint it was via a crane-lift that was here for a good 3 weeks. I keep / store a few things out there... not of much value but of value to me.
Fuckers (had to be the painters) took a goalie stick from my balcony and cut all the tape off the blade. The stick belonged to Sean Burke when he was still playing on the Phoenix Coyotes. He gave it to me personally during an interview in which I was videoing / photographing for a magazine I used to work for... it was a simple gift from him to me that he gave me when nobody was looking. The stick was used in a number of games and the tape was nicely used / scuffed-up... he signed it on the tape "Kevin, make me look good! - Sean Burke #1" Nothing special... not worth a FUCKING DIME on the sports market... but meant the fucking world to me.
The pricks painting the place were the only ones whom had access to my balcony (besides my wife) and it wasn't via my front door... it was via that fucking crane. (I'm on the 4th floor at least 50' up... you'd have to be Spiderman to get up here w/out that crane) The stick is all fresh and clean on the blade now... the tape was cut off w/some precision to snake the signature and note to me.
MOTHER FUCKERS... It's going to be fun marching into the office tomorrow w/a goalie stick in-hand... fucking hell I'm on fire right now... ... fucking thieves... it's a WORTHLESS signature... Burke isn't exactly a superstar but it was a cool experience for me... so fucking lame.

- It was wrapped-up and tucked behind some items that kept it free from the elements... we have a 1 bedroom apt and the wife directed the stick to the balcony :)PonyBoy
