    After Effects:
    Supposed to be faster but I haven't noticed much improvement yet. The keyframe markers are a little dimmer which isn't good.

    Adobe Media Encoder:
    Big problem here - Every time you set up a render from After Effects, you have to make sure the comp is set to full resolution or Media Encoder shrinks your output size in a way you can't reset to 1920x1080 at full resolution.
