    Holy @#$%!!

It's like 2007 all over again... I'm buried in Flash work... just buried in work in general.

Pre-2007/08 I was making anywhere between $5k and $15k a month depending on the season... seems like I'm back up those numbers again.

    At first I was excited...

...but it hit me that all this means is I'm BACK to where I was 10 years ago. Same numbers... no 'raise' in price. If I hadn't stopped to think about it I think I'd be walking around w/a grateful smile across my face. Instead I'm a bit pissed that I haven't really been able to raise my prices in ten years. It's nice to see the frequency of work and amount of pay return (demand in general is back)... it's not nice knowing nothing has really changed regarding the value of my product(s) in 10 years. :/

    • I miss the days of $10k for a simple 5 page flash sitemoldero
    • Flash made so much money then lost me so much money.utopian
    • Good for you, I refuse to even open the program. It's like a relationship that went bad with girl you once loved.utopian
    • Those were the good ole dayspinkfloyd
    • Why is it suddenly in demand again?dopepope
    • I didn't mean to sound like it was in mad demand like days of old... it's just been popping up a lot lately (for me).PonyBoy
    • Why prolong the suffering?!? Pull the plug!!!pango
    • Good luck!studderine
    • you're not back to square one, flash is not the flavor of the month anymore, yet you manage to get paid as much as when it was. sounds good to me!spl33nidoru
    • capitalizing on past knowledge is good. my flash years helped bring me where i am today but are definitely not making me any $ right now!spl33nidoru
    • $15K a month? Wow - does that include benefits?fadein11
    • freelance... and 15 is the high end that occurs maybe 2-3 times at most per year.. and it's not ALL flash— I'm just loaded-up w/work again like it's 10 yrs ago.PonyBoy
    • It's just odd that I haven't touched a flash file in over a year... now I have 2 current projects, just finished one and have another coming up... weirdPonyBoy
    • I totally agree with spl33nidoru. You're making the same for work that's less valuable. You're actually doing a disservice to your client and being rewarded.CyBrainX
    • Yeah... you're right... guess I shouldn't take that easy work where if I work fast enough I can still turn it into 3-400$ an hour... such a disservicePonyBoy
