To think my parents left Germany because of the discrimination, constant assault, xenophobia...

Reading almost daily "Ausländer Raus" in the walls...

And they weren't even Refugees or asylum seekers.
They "just" run from dictatorship and my father was active in the opposition.

Now people flee from wars and devastation running for their lives and...

    WTF is wrong with people?

    Do you have a heart?

    • hate is equally human as lovedrgs
    • I know, but damn...how can one leave people to die. I can agree that the refugee policy is not the best and it's not.

    • I don't know what Merkels plans are so I am asking. Seems like there is no plan if they cannot get work and create a life.robotron3k
    • I live in a house of 55 and half of the people are involved with supporting refugees. Some teach German, some teach english. Some help with rights.

    • there's so many different situations. I know refugees of Sudan who are studying. yes, they receive support. others after granted their rights are working.

    • Merkel's plans are to make it more difficult for refugees to get inside and be granted their rights.

    • she shows one face but in the back door it's getting more difficult because around 40% of Germans are against it and she's losing voting intentions.

    • I know the US took in around 60 million Europeans just after WW2. From what I have seen, it will take generations and strong work ethic, but it can be donerobotron3k

    • Serious question, why should this be Europe's responsibility and not Gulf countries? Turkey and Jordan have. Why not wealthier nations?IRNlun6
    • One of Europe's biggest mistakes is ignoring its citizens, denigrating them for their concerns and fears. Ignoring the clashes of culture which is human nature.IRNlun6
    • ... and that's not to say Europe shouldn't. Migrating millions of people is a monumental task. 40% of citizens have aversions. There needs to be compromise.IRNlun6

    • Politicians then labeling people who disagree far-right, xenophobic racists... what's that accomplish? How likely will people feel guilt and change their minds?IRNlun6
    • Yup, and the many North African, Afghan and Eastern European migrants. That's an enormous amount of pressure on an existing population.IRNlun6
