Possibly working for the city is taking forever while they restructure the department as not one, not two, but three retirements were announced in as many months.
I wasn't offered the sign painter position.

Probably true as it was the lowest paying position I have shown interest in.The following day, the agency (30ish clients) offered me 7K more. We're supposed to finalize next week. Cool.
A fourth, more appealing offer has joined the discussion however, I received a phone call this afternoon...
The position is in-house management of 3 high end glass based architectural brands complete with logo / identity redesign of each.
They are admittedly last century and are not wanting quick fixes. They aim to visually strengthen their core brands then begin a coordinated marketing effort.
We have a meeting Tuesday morning and the offer is 2-5K higher than the agency.
Report to one person, manage 3 sister brands. Ideal.
