    Design decisions should be made user needs not individual opinion. If you haven't made this clear, just re-iterate and explain your design choices in a one on one meeting again.

    That should make it clear that you are the expert. Not them Which is why they hired you in the first place.

    If that fails, go through their sketches and point out anything that impacts on the user and the goals of the project.

    If that fails, you're dealing with a wannabe who will destroy the end product so I'd back out now or at least adjust the fee accordingly...

    Of course, if you haven't outlined user needs and business goals first then this was bound to happen. And it's your fault.
