I just got back from the beach where i got lectured for spearing a sting ray (that I'm about to cook up for lunch) from a seafood restaurant owner, go figure.
her: "that's so mean, how could you? that is not right, blah blah blah blah"
me: "are you a vegetarian?"
her: "no"
me "then shut up hoe" < mental version of what i said- oh man those types are at your neck of the woods too? where she from?yurimon
- yeah they're here too (Damn internetz) shes a young local girl, after I got her and said you support commercial fishing industry and your gonna rag me on 1moldero
- sting ray that i'm about to eat, she said "you're right, i see your point" but as she walked away she said "please don't kill any more" clueless $$ girl.moldero
- I wish I was there. juicy analogue trolling opportunity right thar. hehe.yurimon
- call me ignorant, but i had no idea you could eat stingray (or that people did). i know, i live under a rock haha. is there anything taste wise to compare it tolvl_13
- because now you got me curious. for whatever reason i have in my head that the texture would be comparable to shark-or rather something firm and denselvl_13
- I was wondering the same thing.yurimon
- stingray meat looks similar to shark but is super tender, no bones, just cartilage that the meet peaks right off when cookedmoldero
- peaks = peels
it's pretty good, clean, not fishy tasting, easy to clean, just chop off the wings and slap them in a pan with spicesmoldero - Stingray wings are awesome! great tasting meat, no nonsense with bones. If u like crunch you can eat the cartilage too.microkorg
