    I've decided to stick with Win7 and just let my free upgrade slip away - fucked if I'm risking installing that shit on my computer any time soon.

    My concern thereafter is 'where next?'

    • nah, I don't want it - it's the first time in nearly 20 years of owning PCs that I don't want anything to do, at all, with Windows.detritus
    • I run three Win 32-bit XP machines (offline!) to control hardware and whilst they're a bit clunky - I really don't see much improvement over the years.detritus
    • Win7 is a sweetspot Windows - my partner's laptop is Win8 and is the most infuriating piece of shit I've ever dealt with. Win10 = that plus phoning home & Apps.detritus
