We have both in our house, my son has a PS4 and we have a 'family' Xbone. I went with the Xbone due to legacy games, particularly Destiny. The online gaming stability on Xbone seems better, rarely does it loose contact with bungie/ COD servers.
With The PS4 on the other hand the COD servers can sometimes be down for a day or so much to boys constant frustration.
IMO there's not much in it, having spoken to friends it seems like the potential Gaming titles are often a major factor in the decision. Good luck.
