Truth is, unless you have met him personally, you can't really assume that rumors are real. I think it's fair to also assume that when you win every single competition out there, people are going to hate on you and spread rumors.
And besides, if the guy only cares about competition, why should we care? let him be, snowboarding its still amazing and yes, its best when shared with friends, that guy making millions of dollars and selling tshirts in target does not affect me a bit.
