I just found out today that someone I've brushed by and passed on working with a couple of times was fingered in a really messy and public ordeal. He lost everything in a matter of days. My gut said "no, don't go along with this dude" seven years ago and regretted pushing my partner in the other direction for a long time. I know my partner felt the same. This guy was clinically successful pretty much right afters we first met so it was confusing for a while not knowing if my intuition was off. But now a lot of people are fleeing in droves now that shit is getting real, I think, because they want to put distance between themselves and really risky accusations flying their way too. Now I'm I'm feeling pretty lucky. Or, maybe just smart because he's getting in trouble for the same line of entitled douchbaggery he showed himself capable of from day one. I definitely would have lost a lot in this if I had gotten into business with him last we spoke (October). But to those who lost in this story, sometimes the thirst for success is blinding.
Here's to powerful confirmations.
