"and i'm living in a building made in 2009, not an old one. "

That's most of your problem right there, and part of the reason I want to gtfo out of London before ever investing in property.

if you see the tin-frame cum plasterboard combo that is the structure for most of the new builds going up in the city here, you'll see just how completely and utterly shit they are.

Old builds have real bricks and thicker wood dividers.

New builds for the most part allow you to spend Half a Million Quid to live in an eggbox that resonates with your neighbours fucking noises.

    • Got a point here. A lot of new apartment buildings have paper thin walls and floors. Houses 4 life.section_014
    • that's part of the reason there's a housing crisis in London. People only want 100+ year old houses because back then people built them properly, with windowsFax_Benson
    • and gardens and features like enough fucking space to live in.Fax_Benson
    • British build the worst / smallest new homes, in the smallest numbers, in western Europe.Fax_Benson
    • New homes and airports = fucking clueless.Fax_Benson
