yes, well...i o tend to get the impression some of you were not quite taking my thread of 'threads' seriously there.'chainmail knickerbockers are not for the back nine....anyway, onthat note, i was thinking about the joys of 'carving out birdies'..with my wedge.
i realise that golf is a very expensive pastime for some of you(maybe jamesengage can afford it, i know bixler ca) it's not a drain on me however, merely a small percentage of my considerable expenditure.. maybe some of you already know i earn £56k! maybe you don't, but i frequently hear the whispers in the locker room, you know the other blokes saying-"ooh, here comes mickey carver..have you heard..blah, blah...shhhhhhh"
as i've probably mentioned before, sundays are often spent at the club, chatting on the back nine with all the heads of local business, i ,of course, am a highly respected member of that clique and i am vice-president of the local rotary club! (youngest vice-prez seemingly, beating thomas read-bltyhe, who was president in 1956-1961 by three years) anyway i must stress that i like wearing a similar style of clothing on the golf course as i would at say, the shops, at work, in the porch, in the garden. in the car, in hahaha 'clubland', niteclubs the lot. i am often complimented on my impeccable dress sense, especially but women. not everyone can carry off a lemon intarsia/fairisle with subtler shades of pastel greens and rosé!!
oh, yeah.. i even got my own "personalised' engraved clubs!
it says-for example on the pitching wedge : Mickey Carver-Golfer-"Carving Out The Birdies Since 1981"-and underneath the logo which is the same as my tattoo-56k.....
seeing the pelting business has went tittery-too, i will now can concentrate solely on my golf, as i've been signed off work for 6 weeks now! but again as i said earlier, i will be always be contactable via mobile, mobile fax or to my land line! they say they can manage without me, but i always like to be 'there' in an advisory capacity for my 8 employees!
