people will be attacked for their Apple Watch. A watch is visible at all times. Not like an iPhone in a pocket or a bag.

Look everyone! I have a watch on the wrist that worth $600!! Look!

I would take it off when taking the subway and in certain area of the city.

    • yeah, people get attacked in public for their nice watches all the timemonospaced
    • like this dude getting knocked for his iPhone in Montreal a few years ago, check the video: http://www.lapresse.…benfal99

    • @mono, for the new trendy APPLE watch, yesbenfal99
    • That attack would involve unbuckling the band and then unpairing the Watch from the owner's phone. Probably a pain in the ass, espeically in public.monospaced
    • makes more sense to steal a rolexGnash
    • The thing with Rolex's and other "normal" watches is they could be fake, and they also aren't as recognizable or obvious.iCanHazQBN
    • If someone's wearing the Apple Watch, they KNOW it's the real thing and they KNOW exactly how much it's worth.iCanHazQBN

    • A stolen Watch is almost useless I believe with the security features built in. It won't work without a code, etc.monospaced
    • A lot of thuggish criminal people aren't very hi-tech and are not aware of all the security features. They will just steal it anyway thinking there would beiCanHazQBN
    • some way to get into the device, or they will sell it to someone who already can (or is willing to try) to get into the device.iCanHazQBN

    • Sure, I guess you can add this item to the list of quadrillions of items in existence that can and will be stolen.monospaced
    • how many other items have this much buzz around them? this is probably top of the list. The latest magical product from the most famous company. it's incrediblyiCanHazQBN
    • recognizable, and people will be flaunting it 24/7 in front of everyone by wearing it on their wrist.iCanHazQBN
    • I mean the likelyhood of yours actually being stolen is not that great. But relative to other products, it's an extremely vulnerable target.iCanHazQBN
    • I'm not saying don't buy one because it might get stolen. But don't be surprised if it does.iCanHazQBN
    • I guess you're right. I can't turn on the news without hearing about people being accosted for their Samsung watches every day. LOLmonospaced
    • People were also attacked when the iPod was cool. Some teenagers just bought the white Apple earphones and wore them without a player..mekk
