There are a lot of good alternatives out there, depending on what you want to present and who you want to reach.
Only photography? Set up a tumblr and a FB page. Pay $40 per year for a domain and your own e-mail. I can help you if you want.
Portfolio show-off (non-digital, of course): Create a bhance account and pay someone $200 to set up your own CSS.
