    ok heres my guide.

Use followerwonk to find people with job descriptions and locations matching your target market and follow them on twitter

now you can listen and converse with your target customers... shoot the shit and let your brands personality free

set up predefined brand name searches in tweetdeck or hootsuite and praise/retweet any positive mentions. anything negative should be either responded to with a canned response and fed up the food chain for an official response but this conversation needs to be taken out of the public channels (or DM)

    thats twitter sorted.

facebook is competition based although you can post full articles direct into your wall. just remeber to have a great image for each post.

pinterest is about inspiration so best images possible

ask your SEO to research popular topics and you also need to know when things are seasonally relevant... or you can use http://answerthepublic.com/seeds… to find what, where, why, when type topics and write a blog post about it, promoting this on your social channels

linkedin is about finding relevant groups and listening for questions you can answer (or feed up the chain of command to get the best response)

Dont forget to curate too. post content from industry magazines, forums and other (non competing) sources to become the expert in your industry.

if you want to go the extra mile you can use things like board reader, google alerts and other tools to search for questions and brand mentions on forums and then chip in with an official response.

    hope that helps.
