well as i have no testes, i'll take a stab at this.
if i charged that fictitious £100 now for regular full-time work, and instead of coming in 5 days a week i cut that to 3 (and the work was cut similarily) then i'd charge £60. its steady, you're not reaming them and you still have time to do freelance.
i have done this and it worked out brilliantly, but its not for everyone.
will they not let you telecommute on the other 2 days and keep your regular salary? that's really what i would push for.
