The fact that she wasn't given any time to think about her rights as a human being suggest she was if anything a total sheep that just did a daily routine without question or you didn't know her very well at all.
I would think the latter is more likely given your other comments. Every person on this planet at least deserves the time to know their rights and push for equality if they lack such.
