Hey JazX, you sound like you know what you're on about -
I was fine up to the point where someone said 'MIDI is just a way of telling instruments to play a note,' etc.
As I understand it, and in my experience, MIDI files are really a digitized musical score - play instrument 21 - A then G, pause, play midi instrument 19 - C, D etc..at THIS tempo, etc.
Do you mean, by your previous postings, that you can take a .wav and in some way convert that to an orchestrated MIDI sequence, that will convert the frequencies and waveforms in that wav into a series of triggers for standard MIDI, that will reproduce the sound in some way ?
Would love to know your response :).
    Thanks in advance, dude.
