Bumping this because I'm trying to plan a vacation for my wife and I this summer and we've never been to the pacific northwest at all. I think being there for 7 - 8 days could offer a lot of options for doing things in the city and taking drives to national parks and such.
Would it be best to stay in the city itself or are there options for cool bed and breakfasts or boutique hotels within a few hours?
