as an outsider living in Canada, I keep reading this thread with a growing sense of astonishment.
I can't honestly fathom the idea of living in a country/society that views guns as so important.I can see from reading the posts, that some of you are kinda for it....and others feel it's just as insane as i do.
for those of you that think it's nuts....do you ever get the feeling your country is changing so much, or going in such a ridiculous direction that it 'may' be time to consider getting the fuck out?
i don't mean that to sound offensive at all...serious...
it's just with two young kids of my own, i have to think at some point i'd be questioning how great a place it is with folks that think their right to have guns is more important than mine to raise a family in a place essentially WITHOUT them....
i dunno....maybe i'm wrong...

- Look up state vs federal powers. Its long. The short and skinny is absolute power corrupts and why fed shouldnt call all shots********

- if the states are all giving up regulations than the people of those states want it, and they feel there is no harm.********

- right to carry is gray area because really it doesn't infringe on anyone else rights, but doe sit do more harm than good********
- good. I can see for small towns in alaska or rural stuff no problems in carrying a gun. in a SF carrying a gun just asks for trouble. Its dumb.********
