“Yes you can its called sane society. not issue with guns. psychiatric drugs, bad parenting, education. second of you can control behaivior with drugs. have people be violent so to justify more control once everything percieved or created to go to shit, gov tries to put more control for sake of safety. it never works”

You can’t expect a society to be 100% “sane”. You can’t predict what humans are going to do or if they’re going to lash-out. There’s no way you can have that level of surveillance and medical oversight over every single person to ensure they don’t go crazy or enraged in the heat of a moment. But we CAN control guns, so that those who do lash-out can’t fatally hurt others. This is one variable that we CAN control. Guns are tangible thing!... Behaviour is unpredictable.

You want every parent to be a good parent?? How nice, but we can’t expect every parent to be like that! You want every child to receive a good education and have top-notch social services?? Ok, then we have to increase taxes hugely to pay for that. Are you OK with that?

It’s sort of like leaving a vile of poison next to an unsupervised baby. We can’t blame the baby for drinking the poison. What we should’ve done is not leave the poison next to the baby. The poison is the tangible thing. The baby’s behavior is unpredictable. We don’t know if he’s going to drink it or not. All we have to do is take away the vile of poison and the danger is averted.

    - Yes it does. It obviously has worked in Europe for a long time.
