My guess: Perhaps gotta cease and desist for "possibly" publicly hurting both companies reputations (libel / defamation), which might turn out to be more of a case, monetarily, than getting what he could have gotten for the poster infringement (probably not a ton, we're just talking posters, not the movie profit).
- but again, just a guess. Don't know if he actually did that or not. Haven't read everything...fyoucher1
