If you do design as a day job, double your current pay per hour. If you don't (and therefore you are pretty junior since you've never charged anyone before), $25-$30/hr?
I know people here will say that's too low, but if it takes you twice as long to do things since you're learning along the way, that's a fair wage for you and them.

- yes, but a junior designer hasn't learned as much, makes more wrong turns, and takes longer = lower rate.monNom
