Unless they are significantly cheaper and/or Apple has a plan to separate their version from this version (besides white meets blue) I cant see why anyone would want to buy one of these instead of the real thing. Its the same thing, same idea, with a different logo on it. Carly can boost how "they are everywhere" all she wants but if some computer buyer and music lover does not know of the ipod but DOES only know of HP then they are living under a rock. HP getting them in more stores is a lame excuse for a merger. Apple could easily get ipods into store now if they would budge on their product policies a bit. Why spend energy letting another company sell the EXACT same product and pretend it's theirs by adding their logo instead of aggressively working on getting retail owners to care the original product. The whole thing makes absolutely no sense to me.
I think there is more behind this pretty friendship and that Apple has some tricks up their sleeve to separate A from B. Let's say HP sells this thing 100.00 cheaper than Apple cause they can. If it works the same EXACT way- I don't care what color it is cosumers will pay for the cheaper model. In my opinion this makes Apple look foolish and confirms that their prices are bloated in most cases.
