Your book is definitely champion, though; in your shoes, I would just try to relax and not think about between now and the start of the year.
Next thing is go back to everywhere you've ever freelanced (provided you have a good relationship with them), and let them know you're available.
With a book like yours, res ipsa loquitur, and I seriously doubt you'll have any trouble getting a better gig.
As for your cunty ex-shop: good riddance to bad rubbish. If they're that callous, be happy you're not working for them anymore.
