C4D's built in help file is completely underrated and comes with a great set of tutorials for those starting out. You can right click on almost anything in cinema and pull up the relevant help file.
Digital Tutors has lots of comprehensive videos and is easily the best value for a CG education. Wish I could have spent a fraction of my college money there instead had it been around.
cgtalk.com, c4dcafe.com and mograph.net are arguably the the best forums around for this stuff. Just about every noob question has been asked before and almost every thread is gold.
If you're the twitter type, motionleague.com hosts #mochat on tuesday nights to geek out on motion design. The c4d/mograph community is pretty huge on twitter offering lots of help when you use the hashtag c4d or mochat.
