this is nothing new. there are think tanks on both sides who's sole responsibility is creating a weekly agenda. the republican voice is far louder as of late... the dems seem to be a little afraid of confrontation still.
it's pretty sick though. is it really a democracy? the general public isn't intelligent enough, or is too busy, to understand issues. they believe what they are told. these letters to the editor can be quite powerful.
