This happened to me - we were looking for animators and went through a few reels... one stood out as it had my own work on it! A project I did completely alone. I called the guy in and asked him about it, put him on the spot - his answer was that he had re-graded it for something... Completely bonkers... as the whole piece was gold and black and he had obviously been caught out.
Thing is, it didn't end there, a couple of years later I noticed this same guy had downloaded content from my Vimeo page - and re-uploaded it to his page! I again asked him what this was about and he said - if I didn't want my work stolen I should have locked the download option...
