I helped Barry Manilow shop for pants when I worked at the Banana Republic on Michigan Ave. here in Chicago. Maybe in 2002. I don't really get star struck; treated him like anyone else. But it was memorable to be on my knees going through a stack of pants for him and his bodyguard, and when I said "here's your size" look up to see him smiling approvingly at me. Sometimes I forget that even happened. Seems so long ago.
