I went to a Jets game today and the tailgating that I saw was unreal. RVs, kegs of beer, gigantic grills, I saw a "DJ" setup under a tent with an iMac, laptop, mixer, the whole setup. Granted he was playing shit music.
I was gifted the ticket but saw that the face value was $116 for a second level seat that was smaller than the smallest airplane seat I've been in. Then I bought two beers for my friend and I - $12 each.
This stadium holds 70,000 people I think. WHO THE FUCK CAN REALLY AFFORD THIS SHIT?- technically it's only 9 times out of the year that this happens— many folks (as you witnessed today) treat it like a min vacationPonyBoy
- ... like a mini (not min) vacation
PonyBoy - It was also their home opener (only happens once a year... the party is usually bigger)PonyBoy
- Most of the tickets are bought by corporations for "client entertainment." So, they get a tax subsidy.boobs
