well, i have to say mx2004 works generally as good as mx did on my p4, 1.5ghz. the redesigned UI is a bit more sluggish, but nothing too bad. my main complaint is flash not remembering my palette locations. i have to load my saved panel set every time i open flash. i also hate how it bugs me about anything having to do with using/saving as flashmx (not 2004) format. other than that it's not bad. i don't use AS2, and i get by just fine. one time i had to use AS2 for the printing features and it worked just fine except for having to fix a couple variable names (as2 is case sensitive with var names, as1 is not). you can mix as1 with as2 and it will work fine. flash mx2004 still crashes every now and then (definately not as much as it does on the Macs at work) i hate actually been very displeased with macromedia as a company for how it used to handle flash. as far as i know, flash mx2004 is the only version they've released any bugfixes for. even when they released mx2004, they set up a special "flash mx2004 bug reports" section on their site. it seems like they threw it into the market and didn't thoroughly test it themselves. or they just used that bug reporting area to give them more time to fix the bugs they already knew about
