I don't see why some people are so negative about the whole 4K & 8K advances...it reminds me when people used to argue that 1080p wasn't going to take off.
Personally, I appreciate the detail, I thought a board full of designers etc would have also.
I guess this is just one of those things you have to see to appreciate, and till you can compare side by side a 4K TV with a 1080p then I guess its all just opinion.
One thing is a fact though, we have not hit the wall of technology, so change is something we should embrace. One guy moaned that rendering times will be a pain, bare in mind that with new resolutions come new CPU/GPU processors etc, everything will advance in due course...one day in the far future we will be moaning that rendering an 8K image takes a whole 15mins.
