There's a lack of substance in the overall proposal at the moment. Is there a write up anywhere about what on earth is going on? Back story? You need to give more in order for people to commit to pre-order... but that's my 2cents.
Plus, it sounds like a HUGE undertaking, I wish you the best of luck but as pr2 said, worth within your means to at least get something finished unless you have a team to support you.
And the design of the page? I dont give a crap :)
